Our Heritage

The Maioriello Family Legacy

Grove Memorial Chapel was founded in 1976 by Tony and Terry Maioriello, whose vision and values continue to shape our mission today. As lifelong residents and devoted members of the Elk Grove Village community, the Maioriellos have always led with generosity, compassion, and a profound sense of civic responsibility.

From the beginning, their goal was clear: to serve their neighbors with dignity during life’s most difficult moments. Whether guiding a grieving family or supporting local initiatives, Tony and Terry stood as pillars of strength and kindness. Their legacy includes not only decades of care through Grove Memorial Chapel, but also meaningful contributions to local heritage—most notably, the donation of the village’s oldest house, which became The Farmhouse Museum and the home of the Elk Grove Historical Society.

Their mission was more than just providing funeral services—it was about uplifting a community they loved and helping families honor lives with grace and respect. Today, Grove Memorial Chapel continues to carry out that mission, under the ownership of Anthony Maioriello Jr., honoring the legacy of his parents.
