Victor V. Wavra, 75, formerly of Wauconda. Born in Chicago, he passed away November 9, 2017 at Forest View Nursing Home in Itasca. Victor was a retired hair dresser and owner of Victor’s Salon of Des Plaines. Beloved son of the late Frank and the late Jane Wavra; dear brother of the late Frank (Janet) Wavra and Mary Jane (Keith) Tolmasoff; cherished uncle of Donna Hahn, Kim Bingham, Nicole Caron, and Sean Tolmasoff. He also leaves many loving great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Visitation Saturday, November 11, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Patricia P. Leander (nee Sandine), 84, a longtime resident of Elk Grove Village, passed away November 2, 2017. Patricia was a longtime member of Elk Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for over 50 years. She was the loving wife of the late Owen L. Leander (2010); loving mother of Keith Leander and Pam (Kurt) Nelsen, and cherished grandmother of Ethan Nelsen. A service will be held at Elk Grove Baptist Church, 801 Beisner Road, Elk Grove Village, on Friday, November 10, at 7pm, with visitation from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Elk Grove Baptist are appreciated.

Bialek, Stanley G. 83, a resident of Elk Grove Village for 45 years peacefully passed away November 1, 2017 after a long illness. Stanley was a wonderful father and friend and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and music. Stan is survived by Shirley A. Bialek (nee Hartman) who is the mother of his three loving children, Brenda M. (Bruce) Samples, Brian C. Bialek, Patricia L. Bialek. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Nicole (Erik) Rivera, Dana (Sean) Lowery, Mike Mueller, Brandon Stanley Bialek, Tyler Selvig, and his dear great grandchildren, Victoria, Nathan, Charlie and Brielle. Dear brother of the late Josephine (John) Pauss. He also leaves behind three dear nieces, his cherished friend, James Connery and his four legged friends, Buster and the late Susie. A private celebration of life will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017 in Elk Grove Village.
Richard "Dick" Walser

Richard “Dick” Walser, 91, passed away peacefully, October 28, 2017 with his loving wife Betty L. (Siebold) Walser of 69 years at his side at Alexian Brothers Hospice. He was the son of Henry and Myrtle Walser of Chicago, IL Dick was a WWII Navy Veteran, charter member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in Elk Grove Village and a resident there for 60 years. He was the loving father of Linda Baird, Nancy (Doug) Bock-Fendon, Robert (Patricia) Walser and he was also like a second father to “Uncle” John Baird. He was adored by his grandchildren Lauren (Justin) Roley and Chrissie Bock. His surviving extended family sister-in-law Dolores Siebold, nephews Jim (Melanie) Siebold, Ken (Diane) Siebold, Bill (Kathy) Siebold, Stephen (Dawn) Siebold. Step-grandchildren Doug (Jill) Thennes, step-great grandchildren Colton and Logan, step-grandchildren Angie (Wayne) Freytag, step-great grandchildren Carter and Emily. Service will be held at 1:00 pm November 4 at Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit in Elk Grove Village. Jeffrey John Meyers, 65, of Prospect Heights passed away peacefully on October 25, 2017. Born in Chicago on October 2nd, 1952 to the late Edward and Ruth Meyers. Former husband of Mary. Loving Father to Eric and Jason (Debbie); Beloved Papa to Casey, JJ and Cailyn; Dear Brother of the late Jerry (Diane) and the late John “Jack” Meyers and Janis Strobel; Cherished Uncle to Derek (Hal), Bret, Corinne (Chris), Brittany, Cory, late Katie, and Kassie. Great Uncle to Eddie, Erica, Christopher and Chace. Great Great Uncle to Khali and Carter. He was known as the “Old Man” but he was definitely young at heart. He loved hanging by the pool just soaking up the sun. He looked forward to every minute he got to spend with his three grandchildren. He was so proud of them. His favorite times were the holidays and being with his entire family; enjoying good food, listening to music, and observing the fun bantering that went on back and forth between his family members, sometimes even partaking in it. He will be missed by so many but will live on forever through our memories and in our hearts. Memorial will be held in his honor on Saturday, November 4th from 1:00 – 4:00 at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Hts. Road, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007

Kathleen "De" M. Keegan nee. Tufano, 68, of Elk Grove Village for 33 years. She was born in Chicago and passed away on Oct. 27, 2017 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Beloved wife of Jim R. Keegan for 33 years; loving mother of the late Sandi Rachwal and Kaitlyn Keegan (fiancé Blake Santi); cherished grandmother of Scott Withrow; dear sister of Donn (Missy) Villa, John (Kathleen) Tufano, the late Neil (the late Josephine) Tufano, Denise (Mark) Fini and leaves behind many brother and sister in laws; and proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation Thursday Nov. 2 from 3-9 pm with a 7pm chapel service at Grove Memorial Chapel 1199 S. Arlington Hts. Rd. Elk Grove Village. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Alexian Brothers Rehab Facility appreciated.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE Arline M. Klitzke, 94, died in her home Friday, October 27. She was the beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Klitzke and mother of Lois (John) Mather, Dwight (Mary) Klitzke, Claudia (Terry) Daulton and Kent (Karen) Klitzke. Arline was a 46-year resident of Elk Grove and a charter member of the Sheila Ray Senior Center. She dearly loved her nine grandchildren Amy, Samantha, Andee, Erin, Bill, Mark, Kendall, Kent Maxwell, and Elizabeth. She was very fond of her eight great grandchildren as well: Molly, Stella, Finn, Mackenzie, Mikey, Jaxon, Anna, and Benjamin. Each year for more than a half century on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, she trekked her growing family to Marshall Field’s (now Macy’s) for breakfast in the Walnut Room and a family photo with Santa.. In addition to her devoted husband, Arline was preceded in death by her parents, Mark and Lillian (Auer) Koerpelson, her dear sister Jean and two grandchildren, Amanda and Joel. In addition to her family and her older sister, Norma Johnson, Arline is survived by her best friend, Gertrude, many friends from the Sheila Ray Senior Center and kind, caring neighbors. As going to the Sheila Ray Senior Center was one of Arline’s favorite pastimes, she requested that memorials in lieu of flowers be made to the Center. Visitation for Arline is Friday, November 3 from 9 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 11:00 at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 South Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
