Mary K. Wright (nee. Karol), 90, of Schaumburg formerly of Chicago. She passed away Feb. 18, 2018 at Friendship Village. Mary was a member of the Central State Dahlia Society. Louise F. Altobelli (nee Sisto), 90, of Elk Grove Village for 53 years passed away February 13, 2018 at Manor Care. Beloved wife of Louis L. for 68 years; loving mother of Louis (Laura) and Tony (Ilona) Altobelli; dear grandmother of Louie (Ruth), Michael, Jonathan, Francesca, Kataryna, and Alyssia; cherished great grandmother of Nathan and Carter. Louise is preceded in death by her loving parents Anthony and Mary (nee Cardone); 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation Friday, February 16, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Hts. Rd. Elk Grove Village with chapel prayers Saturday, February 17, at 10 a.m. proceeding to St. Julian Eymard Church for 10:30 Mass. Private interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Robert A. Peterson, 88, passed away on January 24th at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village. He was born on August 11, 1929 and was the beloved husband of the late Helen A. Peterson (nee Schoenjohn) for over 60 years. He was the loving father of Beverly Anderson, Diane Allan, and Jeffrey Peterson and was the cherished grandfather of Shannon Honour, Eric Sewall, and Gunnar Anderson. He also had many great-grandchildren. He was the dear son of the late Axel Peterson and Anna Peterson (nee Gustafson), and brother of Ed (Grace) Peterson. Robert attended Schurz High School in Chicago where he graduated in 1947. He worked as an accountant and purchasing agent until 1991 and was an Army Veteran during the Korean War, where he was a Staff Sergeant. Robert was a very hard-working, thoughtful and generous person who was loved and respected by his family, friends, peers, and acquaintances. Visitation will be on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 3-9pm at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your favorite charity appreciated.

Dorothy Anne Bruce (nee Mickelson), 83, of Elk Grove Village passed away peacefully at her home on February 3, 2018. She was born September 20, 1934 in Stambaugh, Michigan. Beloved and devoted wife of William (Bill) for 63 years. Cherished mother of Robert (Jahna) Bruce, Karen (Ronald) Bruffey, Diane (Fred) Lieb and Debra (Dennis) Becker. Loving grandmother of William (Christine), Kimberlee (fiancée Troy), Addyson, Bradford (Paige), Benjamin (Carly), Colleen (Anthony), Braden (fiancée Cassandra), Kyle, Katrina, Kaitlyn and step grandmother of Sarah (Kyle) and Andrew (fiancée Klaudia). Great-grandmother of Adia and Matthew and step great grandmother of Abigail and George. Dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving parents Charles and Lena Mickelson, brother Karl, sisters Helen, Elsie and Ruth, son-in-law William “Quin” and great-grandson Killian. Bill and Dorothy met while working at Universal Oil. We always laughed that it was his argyle socks that she liked and that is how their love story began. They moved to Elk Grove in 1960 where they raised their family and remained into their golden years. Dorothy and Bill are active charter members of Christus Victor Lutheran Church in Elk Grove. Her gentle spirit, kindness and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew her and valued her friendship. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 1045 S Arlington Heights Rd, Elk Grove Village.

Lynda K Males ( nee Kelley), 69, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, in Elk Grove Village, IL surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 29, 1948, in Berea, Ohio to Alvin M Kelley and Mary E Kelley (nee Glenn). Lynda married Bruce W. Males on June 6, 1970 in Elk Grove Village, IL. It is in Elk Grove Village where they would settle in and raise their family. Loving and devoted mother to Deborah Pikulski (Late Joseph), Stephanie Tempo (Vincent), Bruce W. Males (fiancé Celine Hall); loving and devoted grandmother to Christine Pikulski, Gabriella Tempo, Johnathan Pikulski, Vincent Tempo Jr. and Anthony Tempo. Lynda had a heart of gold, passion for life and an unconditional love for her family. She had a love for animals especially her horse Rally who brought her much happiness and joy. She loved her Chicago Cubs and wouldn’t miss a game. She could tell you every player, every score, though Rizzo was her favorite player. She loved her oldies and country music, riding on the motorcycle, spending weekends with her horse, warm summer days and barbecuing with her family. Nothing meant more to her than her love for her husband, children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Larry Kelley (Susan), her sisters Patricia Miller (Steven), Pamela Broullard, Deborah Keller (Brad) and many nieces and nephews, friends, and others whose lives Lynda touched. She is predeceased by her father Alvin M Kelley and mother Mary E Kelley (nee Glenn) who welcomed her with open arms. She was also welcomed on rainbow bridge by her beloved Husky Wrigley and her American Eskimo Dice. Lynda was cremated on January 30, 2018. Her ashes will be handled in accordance with Lynda’s wishes. Friends and loved ones are invited to participate in the celebration of Lynda’s life with her family to reminisce, grieve, & most importantly, support each other through this difficult time. Lynda was a huge Cubs fan so wear your gear or something blue to celebrate her life with us. Service will be held Saturday February 10, 2018 from 12pm until the time of service at 5:30pm at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. LeRoy W. Dickerson, 87, long time parishioner of St. Edward Catholic Church in Chicago, recently of North Ft. Myers, FL. peacefully passed away at home on January 22, 2018. Roy was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, a connoisseur of good wine, an equity actor with the Florida Repertory Theatre Co. and past commander of American Legion Tattler Post 973 of Chicago. He was the beloved husband of the late Adele R. (nee Peters, 2004); loving father of Janice (Steve) Koval, Cheryl (John) Blondis, Donna, Kenneth, Keith (Marianne) Dickerson; dear grandfather of Kathryn, Anne (James), Alexander (Amanda), Michael, Emily, Grace; cherished great grandfather of Madeline; and brother of the late Larry Dickerson.
