Penny Schneider nee. Schnarr, 88, of Elk Grove Village for 50 years. She was born in Chicago and peacefully passed on Feb. 4, 2017 at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence after a long battle of COPD and lung cancer. Penny was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Schneider (2012); loving mother of Gail (Jay) Kloecker and Nancy Henley (Dan Lusk). She leaves behind her beloved grandson Jack Kloecker and grandchildren Adam, Robyn, Jacob and Spencer Henley; dear sister of the late Elvera Redfield and cherished aunt of Cheryl Jansen. Memorial visitation will be Friday Feb. 10 from 10am until the time of service at 11am at Grove Memorial Chapel 1199 S. Arlington Hts. Rd. Elk Grove Village. Julia A. Majkut nee Cyborn, 98, of Hoffman Estates, former longtime resident of Elk Grove Village died on February 5, 2017. Julia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, the late Herbert Reisel Sr. (1955) and the late Mitchell Majkut (1977); loving mother of Eunice A. (Dr. Raymond A.) Hurm, Dr. Herbert J. (Therese “Terry” M.) Reisel; dear grandmother of the late Julie (Jeff) Tessitore, Suzanne (Brooks) Lewis, Peter Hurm, Kris (Corey) Dugan, Karen (Brad) Kazmer, and Michael H. Reisel; cherished great grandmother of Connor Lewis, Brandon Lewis, Kaitlyn Lewis, Andrew Kazmer, Ryan Dugan, Emily Kazmer, Billy Dugan, Kyle Dugan, Julia Kazmer and Katie Dugan. Lizandro Alva  -  85
Lizandro Alva, 85, a resident of Schaumburg, formerly of Evergreen Park and Chicago, passed away February 5, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Maria Alva (nee Garcia) for 55 years; the loving father of Santiago (Varvara) Alva, and Maria Alva; dear grandfather of Isolina, Santiago, Inessa and Maximilian Alva, Gabriela and Mitchell Mackiw; and cherished brother of Antonio Alva. Visitation Thursday, February 9 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village with a Chapel service on Friday, February 10, at 10 a.m. proceeding to All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
William B. Gregga  -  66
William Blake Gregga (Bill) was a lifelong resident of the Chicago area. He was born in Chicago June 18, 1950; son of George William Gregga and Darlene Rose Rovano. Bill died at home on January 22, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was a proud graduate of Mendel Catholic High School and the University of Illinois in Champaign. He enjoyed a career as a sales engineer in the tooling and manufacturing industry for 35 years and retired due to illness in 2009. He loved music of all styles and collected pens and watches as a hobby. Bill was an active church member throughout his life and enjoyed teaching and participating in Sunday school and small group Bible studies. Bill is survived by Jane Allison Mitchell, his wife of 43 years. Bill was the proud father of three sons and 8 grandchildren: Jason and his wife Sarah with their daughters Isabelle and Sophia of Fairborn, Ohio; Michael and his wife Pamela with their children Cameron, Abigail and Dominic of Jacksonville, North Carolina; James and his wife April with their children William Blake (Blake), Alexander (Xander), and Vivian of Bartlett, Illinois. He leaves behind his beloved brother Gary with his wife Gina and their children Giana and Grant of Homer Glen, Illinois. He will be greatly missed by his loving extended family, friends and neighbors. (nee Noel) for 35 years; loving father of Danielle (John) Freling, Christy (Damien) Farmer, and Patty Orlick (Max Sall); cherished grandfather of Lily and Elijah Farmer; and dear brother of 5. Elouise J. Mulholland (nee Brinkman), 83, of Elk Grove Village for 47 years. Born in Chicago, she passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 13, 2017. Elouise was the beloved wife of the late Dale L. Mulholland (2007); loving mother of Pam (Paul) Nadler and Cindy Mulholland;cherished grandmother of Michael (Ashley Chacon) and Michelle (Anthony Zepeda) Nadler; dear great-grandmother of Liliana, Daniela, and Emilio Nadler-Chacon; fond sister of Ray Brinkman and preceded in death by her 11 siblings. She leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews and friends and her loyal dogs and companions, Maggie and Bella. Visitation Monday, Jan. 16, from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel. Chapel Service Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. (1990) for 26 years; loving mother of John (Linda), Patricia (Kirk) Schimpf, and James (Rebecca); cherished grandmother of Justin, Karley, Kristopher, Kirk Jr., and Alexandra; and the dear sister of Joan Cassin; loving sister in law of Janet and Joanie. Wendell R. Williams, 82, of Elk Grove Village for over 50 years passed away on December 30, 2016 at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence. Wendell served as a First lieutenant in the Army Reserve and was a lifelong aviation and architectural enthusiast. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in fine arts. Beloved husband of Rosemary F. Williams (nee Prow) for 30 years; loving father of Carolyn Monarque, Thomas (Karen), Kathryn, Cheryl, the late Lisa (1966), and the late Susan Williams. Cherished grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 5. Visitation Monday, 1 to 7 p.m. at Grove Memorial Chapel.
