Ronald "Ron" Chamerlik  -  74
Ronald "Ron" Chamerlik, 74, of Elk Grove Village for 44 years, passed away September 24, 2017. Ron was the beloved husband of Nancy M (nee Walsh); the loving father of Mark (Stephanie) Chamerlik; dear brother of Hillard (Rita)Chamerlik and Lillian Bachan. Ron served as an MP with the United States Army, stationed in South Korea, and was a member of the Train Collectors Association (TCA). A visitation will be held Thursday, September 28, from 3 to 9 PM, at Grove Memorial Chapel, with a chapel service Friday, September 29, at 10:30 AM. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL Monday, Oct. 2nd at 1:00 p.m.
Irma M. Lange  -  82

Irma M. Lange, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 22, 2017. Born in Chicago and a graduate of Roosevelt High School, she moved to Elk Grove Village in 1960 where she lived in her original home for 57 years. Irma was a devoted daughter to her late parents, Irma M. and John C. Lange, and dear sister to the late Catherine (Lange) Ahlborn. She was the beloved aunt to Jim (Sue) Ahlborn and Margaret (Ron) Stemler, and cherished "auntie auntie" to her grandnieces, Isabelle, Charlotte and Saxon Ahlborn. She was known to lovingly spoil the furry family members, Buster and Felix. She spent her entire career at CNA Insurance, 47 years, where she was employed as an Executive Secretary for Legal Counsel and a long-time member of the company choir. Irma was dedicated to her faith and one of the first parishioners at Queen of the Rosary Church in Elk Grove Village where she served as Eucharistic Minister, Lector and Commentator for many years. She supported many charities and was committed to preserving American historical locations. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 28, from 3 to 8 PM at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. Please meet at Queen of the Rosary Church for a Funeral Mass on Friday, September 29, at 10 AM. She will be laid to rest with her family at St. Michael Cemetery in Palatine. Walter F. Michna Jr., 67, a resident of Elk Grove Village for 41 years, passed away on Sept. 20 at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence. He was born in Hammond, IN and graduated from Augustana College in 1972. Walter, a CPA, retired after 38 years working for The Boler Co. of Itasca. He was the beloved husband of Veronica J. nee. Herlihy for 45 years; loving father of Russell W. (Kristin) Michna and Amanda J. (Eric) Lundberg; cherished grandfather of Lyla Jean; devoted son of the late Walter F. Sr. and the late Phyllis Michna; dear brother of Richard (Carol) Michna, Mary Jo (John) Wodziak, Helen (Kevin) Torres and Sally (Ken) Hoffmann. Visitation will be held Friday, Sept 22 from 3-8pm at Grove Memorial Chapel- 1199 S. Arlington Hts. Rd. Elk Grove Village. Chapel prayers on Saturday, Sept. 23 at 10:30am followed by an 11am Funeral Mass at St. Julian Eymard Church. Please omit flowers. James E. Fournier of Seattle, WA, formerly a resident of Chicago and Elk Grove Village, Il, passed away on September 19, 2017. James was born in Memphis, TN on November 5, 1977, the beloved son of Robert and Ankie (nee Kooij) Fournier. He was proud of his dual U.S./ Dutch citizenship. James was the cherished spouse of Cung Nguyen. He was the dear brother of John (Jennifer Litus) Fournier; the loving uncle of Elizabeth A. and Nathan J. Fournier. James attended Elk Grove elementary schools and graduated from Elk Grove HS. He received a Mathematics B.S. degree from Western Illinois University. James then went on to acquire two master’s degrees and a juris doctorate from Loyola University, Chicago. He commenced his professional career as Compensation Manager of Human Resources at the University of Chicago. James then moved on to manage the Compensation and Employment teams in the Human Resources Division of Washington State King County in Seattle WA. In his youth through high school James was an avid member of the 4H Clever Clovers Club in Arlington Heights. He was a pet lover and rescued several, in particular a cat named Jake, and a dog called Henry. In lieu of flowers, memorials in James’ name can be made to the animal rescue, shelter, and adoption center: “The Buddy Foundation” 65 W. Seegers Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005. ( A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, from 3 to 8PM at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village. Funeral Service Thursday, September 28, at 11:00am.
